Spittoon Storytelling is Born

The launch announcement for Spittoon Storytelling — a live personal storytelling event where people tell real, raw, and risky stories from their own lives, launching on 16th January 2020 at Camera Stylo with Matthew Byrne and future host, Amy Daml among the inaugural readers. Founded by original host, Amanda Jane.

A New Format for Spittoon

Spittoon Storytelling is a live storytelling event where people tell real, raw, and risky stories from their own lives — sharing a piece of their personal journey, or that of the people around them. Whether hilarious, heartbreaking, or crass, all stories are welcome.

Unlike a traditional reading, Spittoon Storytelling asks its tellers to tell their stories as they would sitting around a campfire or a dinner table with friends — not read from a prepared paper. The informal, off-the-cuff feel is part of the storytelling spirit.

Thursday 16th January 2020, 8pm at Camera Stylo, 44 Dongsishitiao, Dongcheng District. Loose theme: New Beginnings. Hosted by Amanda Jane.
