A New Space for Poets
“A poet’s work… to name the unnameable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world and stop it from going to sleep.” — Salman Rushdie
From 15th April 2019, Spittoon launched a free bi-weekly poetry workshop at Cafe Zarah on Guloudongdajie, run by Spittoon Events Coordinator Sara F. Costa. Every two weeks on a Monday, 8pm to 10pm. Open to all levels. Free entry.

How It Works
Participants send poems in advance to the group. Other poets discuss and comment on the work. Writers meet, connect, and start creative projects. Not ready to share yet? Come along for the discussion anyway.
