Spittoon Dali is Born

Spittoon announces its Dali chapter in Yunnan province, led by Myrtle — bringing poetry events to one of China’s most creative and spiritually distinctive cities.

A New Chapter in Yunnan

The Spittoon Arts Collective is proud to welcome its Dali chapter — bringing poetry events to one of China’s most distinctive and creatively rich cities. Spittoon Dali’s first event takes place on Saturday 27th February at 7pm at Shuli Library, No. 389 Yu’er Road, Dali.

Meet Myrtle — Spittoon Dali

“Since the first year that I decided to live my life in Dali, I knew there was something or some people to be bonded through my effort. People in Dali have more access to wild nature than citizens. So that liveliness in poetry can get far beyond. Dali people spend more time exploring our spiritual life — art therapy, meditating, bowl and crystal therapy, Tao — things I never experienced before. Poetry can be one of the most beautiful expressions here, and since I know that people are in need of a formal poetry event, Spittoon is the best option for us.”
